Position Summary


Doubletree West Palm Beach Airport is seeking a dependable and skilled Engineering Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall operation and appearance of the hotel property, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

The ideal candidate will have experience in general hotel maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and guestroom issues.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service calls
  • Complete routine inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities
  • Maintain pool, grounds, lighting, and exterior areas as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
  • Assist with painting, carpentry, drywall, and minor renovation projects
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
  • Support emergency response procedures and after-hours needs when necessary
  • Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure excellent guest satisfaction


Qualifications

  • Previous hotel maintenance or engineering experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
