JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager of Information Technology is responsible for the oversight of the network operations of the IT department, playing a crucial role in planning and maintaining the organization's network, systems, and infrastructure. This position also involves managing a team of IT professionals, developing technology strategies, ensuring network security, and optimizing IT operations. The manager will lead the implementation of technology initiatives aligned with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

This role will be located on-site at the Chattanooga Corporate Headquarters location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and lead the IT team, providing direction, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and security.
  • Oversee the planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking devices, and security systems.
  • Manage the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), servers, SANs, and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Citrix).
  • Ensure system integrity, performance, recoverability, and security for all IT infrastructure components, operating systems, and applications.
  • Provides support of the Domain and related services such as Active Directory, MS Server products, Exchange, IIS, SQL and other enterprise applications.
  • Resolves and/or coordinates the resolution of infrastructure problems or malfunctions.
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of all software and hardware maintenance, upgrades, repairs, or replacements to Network LAN/WAN servers.
  • Maintains the integrity of the infrastructure hardware and software through preventative maintenance practices and security implementations.
  • Assists with the development of disaster recovery plans and ensure systems are regularly tested and updated.
  • Monitors network resources and carriers to ensure availability and performance.
  • Provides technical recommendations to improve network performance, security and support business requirements. Evaluates new products and emerging technologies.
  • Periodically assists in the development of Information Security procedures and processes as needed.
  • Complete all courses assigned in BVS in accordance with Credit Union policy.
  • Proactively demonstrate the TVFCU core values of integrity, honesty, flexibility, teamwork, leadership, accountability and strong relationships in every interaction with members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience and relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft MCSE, CISSP) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five to ten years of experience in IT network management, system administration, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within IT preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in LAN/WAN design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in operating computer equipment and software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and internal databases for record-keeping and communication.
