Locum Tenens Physician - Hematology Oncology

Position Type: Locum to Perm
Specialty: Physician - Hematology Oncology
Location: Des Moines, IA.
Shift: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Position Details:
Patient Population: Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial
Setting: Outpatient clinic with inpatient coverage at MercyOne Des Moines and MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Centers
Responsibilities: Medical Hematology/Oncology coverage, inpatient rounding, patient assessments, treatment planning, chemotherapy management, referral coordination, end-of-life care
Required Procedures: None specified
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: Nursing support 1:1; no APP supervision required
Days Per Month:
On-Call/Weekends: Yes โ€“ TBD; weekends as needed

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology
  • Fellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology
  • Active IA License or Active IMLC
  • Clean malpractice/background with NPDB self-query
