A TV film production assistant (PA) performs a variety of tasks during the filming of a movie or television program. Your duties focus on assisting the director and other members of the production staff during filming. You may help organize props on set, communicate with members of the crew on behalf of the director, assist on-screen talent during a shoot, or keep track of scenes filmed during a given day. Some production assistants have responsibilities such as ensuring proper camera and lighting placement. A PA often performs administrative tasks and runs errands for the director and crew members.
