Job description

At Stash, our mission is to make financial opportunity accessible to everyone. We've built a platform that helps millions of Americans invest, save, and build long-term wealth, and today more than 6 million customers rely on us to take control of their financial future.

We believe the best way to serve customers is through simple products, thoughtful design, and teams committed to our mission. We're a diverse group who believe in having fun, collaboration, treating each other with kindness and respect, and are always experimenting with ways of

Talking about money and investing can be stressful and...not fun. Writing about it well means being clear while still being human and compelling.

We're looking for a Copywriter to own the Stash voice. You'll help define what this brand sounds like across every marketing channel. You'll write about Stash in a way that makes it easy to understand, engaging and actually fun to learn about.

This is a role for someone who thinks in ideas, not just headlines. We want a writer who can own a brief and develop compelling copy that works across landing pages, video scripts, an email, or TV.

You also must be very performance-minded. You'll work closely with creative, growth, product and CRM partners to create copy that drives results. Constraints are part of the challenge. Financial services has rules, and the best work on this team lives inside them but still manages to grab people's attention.

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring you to be on-site in our New York office at least three days per week to work with stakeholders and foster team collaboration.

What you'll do:

  • Establish the Stash brand voice across every channel.
  • Turn product features and financial concepts into ideas people actually feel something about.
  • Partner with designers so words and visuals land as one idea.
  • Write copy that converts across CRM, landing pages, paid and organic social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) and more.
  • Jump on the ad hoc stuff: subject lines, in-product prompts, partner collateral, the thing someone needs by Thursday.
  • Experiment with AI tools to speed up production and explore concepts, without outsourcing the taste.
  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, Creative, and Product to align copy with all initiatives.
  • Use performance data and creative insights to iterate on what's working and kill what isn't.

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years of copywriting experience in marketing, growth, brand, or agency environments.
  • A portfolio with range: conceptual thinking and campaign ideas alongside sharp, conversion-focused copy across email, landing pages, and paid social.
  • A distinct sense of voice, and the discipline to adapt tone by channel and audience without losing the thread.
  • A focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for using AI tools to improve your process and output.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to help create an environment that will enable you to do your best work.
