Job Summary/Description:

WIS is looking for a News Anchor/MMJ to join our talented team (W/END). If you’re a journalist looking for a position that includes an anchor role, this might be the opportunity you have been waiting for! We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic journalist to produce and anchor our weekend morning newscasts. This candidate should have solid editorial judgment and excel in breaking news situations. Our anchors excel at telling stories and working with reporters and producers to craft excellent stories and newscasts.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Anchor and produce weekend newscasts
• Strong journalistic ethics, news judgment, and decision-making in crafting and presenting a show
• Communicate well with staff
• Develop sources and present and turn story ideas that resonate with our audience
• Shoot, write, and edit compelling coverage for all platforms
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
• Four years of multi-platform reporting, shooting, and editing experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a driver's record check
