About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Center Director to oversee operations across both our Astoria and LIC centers. This role blends:

Compensation includes competitive base salary plus performance-based earnings tied to enrollment, revenue, and retention goals.

You will manage Assistant Directors and Instructors who may float between both locations as needed.


Compensation

-Competitive annual base salary: $40,000 - $80,000

-Variable performance-based compensation ( $5,000-$15,000) tied to:

  • New student enrollments
  • Revenue growth

Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Center Leadership
  • Oversee daily operations in both Astoria and LIC
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling across locations
  • Develop Assistant Directors to manage shifts independently
  • Ensure consistent instructional and service standards
Sales & Growth
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads
  • Conduct parent consultations and enroll students
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools and community organizations in NW Queens
  • Execute grassroots marketing initiatives
  • Track and improve conversion and retention metrics
Team Development
  • Recruit, train, and schedule instructors
  • Coach and motivate team members
  • Foster a positive, accountable culture
Academic Oversight
  • Administer student assessments
  • Ensure fidelity to the Mathnasium Method
  • Support instructional quality and student progress
Family Experience
  • Build trusted relationships with parents
  • Communicate progress clearly and proactively
  • Resolve concerns with professionalism and care
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership and strong people management skills
  • Sales confidence and ability to close enrollments
  • Highly organized with ability to manage across two locations
  • Passion for working with students (grades PK–12)
  • Strong math competency through at least Algebra I
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous management and/or sales experience preferred
Bonus if you have:
  • Multi-unit or high-volume operations experience  
  • Background in working for and grow franchise business
  • Background in education, tutoring, or enrichment programs  
  • Experience improving retention and student outcomes

Additional Responsibilities:

In addition to conducting all the tasks and maintaining all the competencies of the center director position, Center Directors are required to have knowledge and be competent on all the tasks and competencies of the Instructor, Lead Instructor, and Assistant Center Director positions as well. These tasks and competencies can be found in the Instructor, Lead Instructor, and Assistant Center Director Job Descriptions, respectively.

Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center.
