Job description

Adjunct Faculty School of Nursing, Didactic Tutor

The Westminster College School of Nursing is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to provide academic support to pre-licensed nursing students through weekly evening didactic tutoring sessions. The tutoring session may include skills practice or a brief simulation scenario when appropriate with the assistance of the simulation lab manager. The 15-week sessions will be held weekly in the fall and spring semesters.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate one evening per week of structural didactic tutoring to reinforce nursing content.
  • Develop engaging learning activities to promote clinical reasoning, and NCLEX style testing strategies.
  • Facilitate short simulation scenarios with the Simulation Lab Manager, to coincide with tutoring sessions when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate attendance of tutoring sessions.

Requirements:

Current, unencumbered RN license in PA; MSN degree with emphasis in Nursing education; at least 2 years teaching pre-licensure RN students or tutoring nursing students.
