Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Executive Function Mentor based in Netherlands.

In this role, you will support high-achieving students as they develop the executive function skills needed to succeed academically and personally. You will act as a consistent accountability partner, helping students build structure, follow through on commitments, and stay on track with goals set by senior coaching staff. Through frequent 1:1 check-ins, you will guide students in managing schedules, deadlines, and workloads while fostering independence and long-term study habits. This position is ideal for educators and mentors who are passionate about student development and who thrive in a structured yet highly human-centered learning environment. You will collaborate closely with senior coaches to ensure continuity and alignment in student support. The role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on students' confidence, discipline, and future academic success across a global learning community.

Accountabilities
  • Provide regular 1:1 mentoring sessions (up to daily) to support students in completing tasks and meeting academic and developmental milestones.
  • Act as a consistent accountability partner, tracking progress and helping students maintain focus, motivation, and discipline.
  • Support students in managing schedules, assignments, deadlines, and extracurricular commitments.
  • Reinforce structured habits that improve organization, time management, and independent learning skills.
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Executive Function Coaches to align on student goals, weekly plans, and evolving support needs.
  • Adapt mentoring approaches based on individual student profiles, learning styles, and developmental requirements.
  • Encourage the development of long-term executive function skills, including planning, prioritization, and self-regulation.
  • Maintain accurate communication and progress updates within internal systems and coaching frameworks.
Requirements
  • Master of Education (M.Ed.) from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience working with students in an academic, mentoring, coaching, or educational support capacity.
  • Strong ability to build trust, motivate learners, and maintain consistent accountability structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in student-facing environments.
  • Familiarity with executive function development, student coaching, or leadership skill-building is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of academic planning, learning frameworks (such as SEL or skills-based models), or progress tracking methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience working with international or ESOL students is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of US and/or UK college admissions systems is considered beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple student relationships effectively.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote, contract-based environment.
