Tutor.com is hiring High Dosage Tutors for high dosage, small group in-person sessions with K12 students. This position is a daytime, scheduled hours position perfect for retired and former teachers, substitute teachers, or anyone with mathematics subject matter expertise who is looking for an in-person tutoring role in a school.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Tutor small groups of students in a school setting.
  • Meet with the same group of students, multiple times a week at a scheduled time during the regular school day concurrent with the academic term.
  • Engage students using manipulatives and online tools such as an interactive whiteboard.
  • Utilize student assessment data to determine gaps in knowledge
  • Deliver provided standards-aligned digital curriculum
  • Provide quality reports to Tutor.com staff, teachers, and school administrators on student achievement
  • Collaborate with Instructional Specialists to advance instructional practices and deliver high quality tutoring.

Requirements:
  • Participate in training and professional development to understand and apply the methodology of high dosage tutoring.
  • Currently reside and eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Available to tutor up to 10 hours per week during the school day. Schedule may change slightly from semester to semester.
  • Capable of utilizing and changing approach as necessary to ensure student engagement and understanding
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge in Algebra and Mathematics
  • Possess strong communication skills with fluency in English
  • Earned a 4-year degree (or higher) from an accredited university
  • Teaching certificate not required
  • Candidates with a background as a Math Teacher or Math Tutor in a High School, Middle School or Elementary Schools are preferred

The Princeton Review and Tutor.com offer a competitive salary which commensurates with experience and skills.
US Pay Range
$22-$22 USD
