Job Summary:

The Lead Facilities Maintenance Engineer is an advanced skill level position responsible for performing and overseeing general maintenance/repair activities associated with the operation of all Xanterra Tusayan facilities.

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (ncludes weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Support Xanterra’s Mission Statement and Core Values while providing exceptional guest service in all interactions and work performed.
  • Perform assigned maintenance, inspections, and repairs for employee housing and company facilities in a timely, accurate, cost-effective, and independent manner.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and second-level repairs, including carpentry, painting, carpet cleaning, pool maintenance, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work, in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Inspect and maintain employee housing units, identify maintenance concerns, proactively report safety or repair issues, and assist with the development of preventive maintenance plans.
  • Train and support General Maintenance staff across maintenance functions while promoting safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to all company, safety, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid/clear Driver’s License, and be able to comply with the Xanterra Tusayan, LLC Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Ability to complete CPO Certification.
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry as it relates to Engineering functions and familiar with current National Uniform Building Codes.
  • Two-year’s experience in general building maintenance, or in trades such as HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Constantly: Stand, walk, and work in inclement weather conditions
  • Frequently: Lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasionally: Sit, handle, reach outward & above shoulder, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 100 lbs, and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
