Position Summary:

The PITs Operator operates PITs (forklifts, stock pickers, turret stock pickers, etc.) safely within a warehousing and manufacturing environment. They are responsible for accurately and efficiently picking, packing, and shipping orders while following instructions on picking tickets and work instructions. Also contributes to timely and correct receipt, inspection and put-away of inbound shipments including customer returns, load and unload materials within warehouse racking, trailers, and ocean containers without causing damage to the product or equipment. Responsible for completing the daily PITs operator safety check-sheet and promptly reporting any issues.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Successfully complete PIV certification training classes.

  • Safely operate PIVs both inside and outside of the facility.

  • Complete PIV operator daily check sheets.

  • Carefully operate PIVs to prevent damage to product or equipment.

  • Some PIVs (stock pickers and turret stock pickers) raise the operator above the ground level (up to 25 feet) so must be comfortable with heights.

  • Accurately, effectively and efficiently locate, pull, count, and record goods from shelved for customer orders

  • Accurately, effectively and efficiently inspect, count, receipt, label, put away goods from purchase orders and customer returns.

  • Consolidate and palletize goods following pre-determined work instructions

  • Audit, count, move and put away goods with accuracy and efficiency

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Prior PIV experience (turret stock picker preferred)

  • Prior experience in making electronic inventory transactions with movement of product (maintain inventory accuracy).

  • Knowledge of warehouse management software (Oracle preferred).

  • Knowledge of warehouse processes that support a manufacturing operation.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

High school or equivalent

Experience:

2 years of PIV experience (turret stock picker preferred)

Basic use of computer.

Other:

Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Fox reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
