Job description

TAR Critical Path Scheduler

Burrow Global is seeking an experienced TAR Critical Path Scheduler to support a large-scale turnaround project for a leading petrochemical client. This assignment will begin in October 2026 with planning and pre-turnaround activities, leading into the execution phase in April 2027 and continuing through project completion in May 2028.

This role offers the opportunity to become a long-term member of a growing project team. The client has an additional $10MM turnaround project planned for 2029, including extensive long-lead equipment tracking requirements, with future turnarounds anticipated in 2031, 2032, and 2033.

Position Summary

The TAR Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed turnaround schedules while supporting construction execution, procurement tracking, and pre-turnaround planning activities. The successful candidate will serve as the critical path scheduling expert, ensuring schedule integrity and providing actionable insights that drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed turnaround schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Perform critical path analysis and schedule optimization.
  • Execute resource planning, loading, and leveling activities.
  • Integrate client-provided SAP work order data into project schedules.
  • Track procurement activities and long-lead equipment deliveries.
  • Develop detailed execution schedules for a 24/7, 13-day turnaround event, including shift-level performance tracking.
  • Support planning and scheduling efforts for ancillary capital and maintenance projects involving engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Capture and schedule all pre-turnaround activities, including:
    • Pre-fabrication
    • Pre-work execution
    • Long-lead material tracking
    • Construction readiness activities
  • Collaborate with project managers, planners, procurement personnel, operations, maintenance, and contractors to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment.
  • Monitor schedule performance and communicate schedule risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of industrial scheduling experience.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a critical path scheduler on turnaround, shutdown, outage, or large construction projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, including:
    • Resource Planning
    • Resource Loading
    • Resource Leveling
    • Critical Path Analysis
  • Experience utilizing SAP work orders for planning and scheduling purposes.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and procurement tracking.
  • Experience supporting petrochemical, refining, chemical, or other heavy industrial facilities.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into comprehensive, executable schedules.
  • Self-motivated professional capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
