Salina Country Club is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team. As one of the premier golf clubs in the region, we are committed to maintaining exceptional playing conditions and providing a superior experience for our members and guests. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure the overall maintenance and management of the golf course grounds.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in planning, scheduling and supervising the maintenance and improvement of all aspects of the golf course and its grounds
  • Participate in daily course setup and preparation, including mowing, irrigation, and pesticide/fertilizer applications
  • Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
  • Supervise and train staff in proper techniques for turf maintenance, equipment operation, and safety procedures


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, Horticulture or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in golf course maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, turfgrass science, and golf course maintenance
  • Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment
  • Experience with pesticide and fertilizer applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the demands of the golf season
