JOB PURPOSE The City of Waukee is looking for Fall seasonal Field Crew to work at Triumph Park. Under the general direction of the Triumph Park Superintendent, provides maintenance services, including weed whipping, turf and field maintenance, fence repair, trash and litter removal and general customer service at Triumph Park and other assigned facilities employ. Duration: 3 to 4 months Tentative Start Date: August to November Work Hours: 8 to 30 hours per week Work Schedule: Weekend: Early morning to mid-day Some weekday hours Possible Holidays Flexibility depends on Triumph Park needs.

Wages: $14.00 - $16.00 Must be 16 years of age or older. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & SUCCESS FACTORS ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Order of Essential Functions does not indicate importance of functions.) Performs maintenance and repairs to assigned facility. Completes weed whipping and trimming of assigned grounds according to standards

Provides necessary field preparation for assigned facility including striping and dragging of ball fields. Performs maintenance of turf and infield areas as needed for assigned facility. Complete proper waste management and janitorial duties of assigned facility.

Performs equipment repairs and cleaning as assigned. Communicates with facility users maintaining a high level of customer service. .

QUALIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum age 16.

Must possess valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Related work experience preferred. General knowledge of computers and software applications to utilize e-mail and timekeeping systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Be responsive to visual and verbal alarms and other indications of distress. Required to lift to shoulder height and carry up to 50 pounds. Able to drive, climb in and out of equipment, and other modes of transportation.

Able to maneuver along walkways, trails and undeveloped areas. Able to effectively communicate orally (in person and over the telephone) and in writing (using electronic devices and handwritten) in English with other employees, vendors and the community. WORKING CONDITIONS: Standard work hours will average 30 - 40 plus hours per week to meet the needs of Triumph Park and will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Majority of working hours will be outdoors where heat, cold, precipitation, and the results of weather and nature may be encountered. During summer months outside temperatures can be over 100 degrees for entire scheduled workday.
