AS AN AREA MANAGER
You will responsible for managing all field operations within the division including crews and equipment in order to optimize service efficiency within company as well as industry-defined quality standards.
MAINTENANCE AREA MANAGER DUTIES INCLUDE
  • Creating Service plans-Motion Maps per property to optimize efficiency.
  • Managing landscape optimizations to improve efficiency.
  • Managing Service plan execution in the field with crews daily.
  • Scheduling and Workload crews to optimize routing density work scope.
  • Organizing and planning equipment packages per crew.
  • Ensuring work performed meets company service quality standards.
  • Proactively communicating property issues, upcoming services, etc. to customers and Regional Managers.
  • Responding promptly to customer-generated issues and manage appropriate resolution.
  • Managing and directing daily dispatch.
  • Coordinating equipment repairs between shop and field.
  • Conducting weekly safety meetings with crews.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
  • Directing and assisting Crew Supervisors daily.
  • Working with Regional managers to meet or exceed property GM budgets.
  • Investigating any accident or safety violation, preparing appropriate reports, taking action steps to correct and prevent future occurrences. Defining and implementing solutions to reoccurring accidents or most common hazards.
  • Supervising employees, keeping attendance records, enforcing proper uniform and safety equipment use, and validating time for payroll.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor Degree in Horticulture/ Turf Management and/ or 2-4 years of direct relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years related industry experience.
  • 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in business management, including basic accounting skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, WorkMax, Sage.
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
  • Experience in both the landscape, irrigation, and horticulture industry.
  • Know the basics of fertilizer and horticultural chemicals.
  • Knowledge of plants, trees, palms, and shrubs.

EXTRAORDINARY WORK CONDITIONS
  • Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including the ability to work overtime, holidays, evenings or weekends as necessary
  • Position requires extended work hours and flexibility in scheduling; including evening or weekend hours as needed.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS
  • $45,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience
