$2,000 sign-on bonus for all new hires

The Maintenance Technician IIis responsible forsafely performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance, inspection, service, and repair activities to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, andobjectivesof VPI. The maintenance position willassistwith facility and equipment projects,assistin ensuringtimelyandaccurateservice, including preventative and predictive maintenance and repair services.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment along with troubleshooting and performing non-routine repairs when applicable.
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Skills to install or repair faulty wiring, along with inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery.
  • Works closely withother technicians to ensure machinery and mechanical equipment is operating at peak performance for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders.
  • Maintains stability among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures including, but not limited to, LOTO and Electrical safety.
  • Complies and enforces safety policies, practices, and procedures within the department. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and assesses immediate corrective actions.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma/equivalent or applicable experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years with troubleshooting and repair of pneumatics, hydraulics, basic controls and logic, low voltage electrical, industrial vehicles, and mechanical systems. General maintenance and fabrication experience.
  • Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and meet approval from Ventrac's insurance carrier to operate company vehicles.
  • Computer Skills: Must have the ability to effectively use a personal computer and associated software.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to engineers, manufacturing employees, and other employees of the organization.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to effectively use various electronic, hand, and power tools and test equipment. Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and test procedures. Ability to use precision measuring devices.
