Job description

Sales Representative
Location: New Jersey
Schedule: Monday in-office | Tuesday-Friday traveling throughout New Jersey
Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialty ingredients used in a variety of industries, including personal care, cosmetics, industrial manufacturing, and other specialty applications. They are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships, and grow sales throughout New Jersey.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting with customers, building long-term relationships, and managing a sales territory. Prior experience in the chemical industry is not required-candidates with successful B2B outside sales experience from any industry are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow an established sales territory throughout New Jersey.
Build relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Visit customer facilities to understand their business needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Prepare quotes, follow up on opportunities, and close new business.
Work closely with internal customer service and operations teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline updates.
Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and company events as needed.
Travel throughout New Jersey Tuesday through Friday using a company-provided vehicle, with approximately one overnight out-of-state trip each month.

2+ years of outside B2B sales experience in any industry.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage a sales territory independently.
Willingness to travel throughout New Jersey with occasional overnight travel (approximately once per month).
