Job description

Volt is immediately hiring for an Tube Filling Line Operator for a company located in Fullerton CA.
As an Tube Filling Line Operator you will:
Job Description
Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor tube filling machinery and supporting equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Follow Production Work Orders and ensure all required components and materials are available for the line.
  • Maintain line performance and labor efficiencies according to established production standards.
  • Issue components and accurately report production data.
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, and occupational safety procedures and policies.
  • Report machine malfunctions, breakdowns, or operational concerns to Manufacturing Supervisor and Maintenance teams.
  • Assist Maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repair activities as needed.
  • Perform line cleaning, startup, shutdown, changeovers, and line clearance procedures.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to packers during production startup, changeovers, and sanitation activities.
  • Conduct in-line quality checks including fill weights, package integrity, seal integrity, lot codes, and expiration date verification.
  • Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
  • Support implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment while promoting accountability and teamwork.
  • Cross-train and operate additional production equipment as needed during seasonal or operational demands.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

This is a full time opportunity Monday - Friday + weekends as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience operating Tube Filling Machines such as the Norden 700 is required.
  • Food manufacturing or packaging experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • ERP/MRP system experience preferred.
  • Prior experience using RF scanners / scan guns for inventory, material tracking, or production reporting preferred.
  • Basic English communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Basic knowledge of power, air, torque, and manual tools
  • Understanding of Machine operation concepts
  • Prior production experience preferred

Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Days: Monday through Friday and occasionally overtime on Saturday
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
