Job description

Description: This position supports our customer's nationwide TSCM program with strategic and operational support across various locations, providing essential contributions to safeguarding classified and sensitive information from foreign and domestic threats. This initiative offers an opportunity to contribute to national security through cutting-edge technical and security-focused roles. Prepare for national-level TSCM and TEMPEST certification through formal training, self-study, and on-the-job training.

The Technical Security Specialist Trainee (TSST) will apply applicable knowledge and effectively operate state-of-the-art technical equipment in support of technical security programs. The TSST will be responsible for conducting TSCM services, inspections, in-conference security monitoring, pre-construction security advice, and other tasks as directed. The role requires maintaining proper security clearances and achieving national training/certification requirements.

Placement into this position requires recommendation through an interview process with senior technical security personnel and approval from the program office. Candidates must meet all training prerequisites and successfully complete all applicable national technical security program requirements. Must be a U.S.

Citizen. Must have an active Top Secret/DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility. Contingent upon award of Contract.

Responsibilities : * Gain knowledge of specialized equipment operations and countermeasures to provide technical security services * Conduct TSCM inspections, in-conference monitoring, and pre-construction support under supervision * Assist in developing and reviewing technical security designs for facilities * Provide input and review of proposed security policies * Apply technical procedures to conduct needs surveys, preventing unauthorized access or disclosure of sensitive information * Communicate technical requirements and security issues to both technical and non-technical personnel * Deliver briefings or guidance to small or large groups regarding technical security practices * Collaborate effectively in team environments, as a team member or lead when applicable * Produce clear and concise reports documenting findings, recommended security measures, and cost-effective strategies * Research and advise personnel on national and international developments in commercial and state-of-the-art security technology * Develop proficiency in communication systems, physical security devices, intelligence and counterintelligence methods, operational security, and radio frequency modulation practices * Demonstrate physical and psychological capability to operate under adverse conditions, electrical hazards, confined spaces, at heights, and lift/carry loads of at least 70 pounds * Accurately distinguish colors and read codes on electronic components
