Who We're Looking For
We're seeking visionary technical leaders who excel at defining and executing at-scale system and data-plane architectures in the public cloud. As a recognized expert, you will deliver complex solutions for OCI's networking and storage needs, mentor senior engineers, drive strategy, and be responsible for cross-team alignment and delivery of mission-critical services. You are respected for providing technical direction, simplifying complexity, improving operational outcomes, and raising the engineering bar throughout the organization. Your influence reaches across product, engineering, and operational teams, and you routinely collaborate with executive leadership to set and realize long-term strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and architectural leadership across multiple teams and projects; set short- and long-term engineering direction for core initiatives.
  • Define and drive execution of foundational services/platforms that impact OCI globally.
  • Guide teams in decomposing and solving ambiguous, complex problems-striking a balance between innovation, performance, and reliability.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineers at all levels; foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and business leaders to define roadmaps and deliver high-impact outcomes.
  • Drive rigorous code and design reviews, operational readiness, and best practice adoption across the organization.
  • Represent OCI TSO in cross-organization initiatives, executive briefings, and industry forums.

Basic Qualifications
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years' experience delivering distributed, mission-critical cloud services at large scale.
  • Recognized expertise in writing and reviewing high-quality code in C/C++, Go, or similar languages.
  • Exceptional knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system-level optimization for performance and scale.
  • Extensive experience with networking data-plane architectures (DPU-based).
  • Expertise in network virtualization, protocols, and distributed systems design.
  • Proven experience leading operationally critical, Tier-0 platform and infrastructure teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep expertise in Linux internals, distributed system troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Recognized authority in DPU programming (e.g., P4/Pensando/AMD, DOCA/BlueField) and cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.
  • Record of publication, open-source leadership, or conference speaking.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $135,200 to $306,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
