A leading aerospace and avionics engineering organization is hiring a full-time System Architect to support next-generation Traffic Surveillance & Avoidance Systems in Melbourne, FL.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex, large-scale avionics systems that directly impact the future of airspace safety and traffic management.
Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in STEM field
· 15+ years of experience in avionics, aerospace, or aviation systems engineering
· Experience supporting FAA-regulated systems or NAS environments
· Experience with commercial avionics platforms and RLRU-based systems
· Hands-on experience with Primary Surveillance RADAR (PSR) and MSSR systems
· Strong background in system architecture and requirements development
· Experience with system integration, verification, and validation
· Experience developing technical documentation and stakeholder briefings
· Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
· Ability to work with executive leadership, customers, and regulators
Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience with MBSE and Cameo
· Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
· Knowledge of GNSS and navigation systems
· Experience with Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR) systems
· Understanding of DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, ARP4754, and TSO standards
· Familiarity with IFF and AIMS certification/testing
· Experience with space-based systems or satellite navigation technologies
