Position Overview: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and cost-effective use of the facility equipment and labor within control of this position. Ensure all staff are compliance with Inland's policy of superior service and satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all written company and Government rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the company Mission Value Purpose (MVP) while exhibiting a high level of confidentiality.
  • Manage daily operations, providing leadership and coaching across safety, performance, maintenance, flight operations, and customer service.
  • Ensure aircraft are deiced properly in strict accordance with airline manual requirements and safety standards.
  • Assist management with station audits, airline deicing reports, and responding to airline or FAA inquiries.
  • Communicate airline manual updates to staff and coordinate security or accident reviews with management.
  • Participate in safety reviews and recommend measures to prevent future operational occurrences.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of airport/airline or similar operational experience with a strong background in safety and regulatory compliance.
  • College degree (or an equivalent combination of higher learning and professional experience).
  • Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT deicing/anti-icing training.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid driver's license.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Leads and supervises a team of operational staff, including:
    • Lead Deicers
    • Deicers

Work Environment

  • Office & Warehouse: Mix of computer-based desk work and physically strenuous warehouse environments with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and heavy machinery.
  • Outdoor Ramp Operations: Extended standing outdoors with direct exposure to weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and airport ground service equipment.
  • Safety Context: Potential exposure to loud noises, harmful materials, and heavy equipment (mitigated through safety protocols and PPE).

Physical Demands

  • Ability to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, and crawl in awkward positions.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Visual acuity required, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Exposure to inherent airport operational hazards, managed via high-level training, PPE, and strict safety procedures.

Position Type & Expected Hours

  • Full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.

  • No travel is anticipated for this position.

Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all security clearances required by Transport Canada, TSA, and/or local Airport Authorities.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background screenings.
