Position Overview
The Resident Technician is responsible for independently performing comprehensive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services on RION Equipment products at customer sites or in field environments. This includes removing, installing, disassembling, assembling, and conducting failure analysis on a wide range of systems such as engines, attachments, electrical components, hydraulics, transmissions, power trains, brakes, steering, and electronic/computer applications. In addition to technical expertise, the role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships by fostering trust and promoting retention and loyalty through professional and responsive service.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Diagnose and repair major systems including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LP, power steering, transmissions, and engines.
• Troubleshoot truck components and perform engine tune-ups independently.
• Complete preventive maintenance and complex electrical repairs on IC and electric trucks.
• Prepare for daily operations by reviewing schedules and checking tools and supplies.
• Use and maintain special and standard tools properly.
• Verify warranties and manage parts returns.
• Conduct failure analysis across all major equipment systems.
• Operate service van safely (field roles only) and follow all safety protocols.
• Mentor apprentice mechanics and participate in ongoing training.
• Deliver excellent customer service and accurately order replacement parts.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Follow contamination control, HAZMAT, MSHA/OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Complete all required documentation and reports daily.
• Provide repair quotes and assist with parts handling as needed.
• Stay current on RION Equipment products through training and development.
