Price Benowitz, LLP is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to lead and build our Family Law practice in South Carolina. This is a partner-level opportunity designed for a senior attorney who is ready to take ownership of practice development, client relationships, and strategic growth.
This role is hybrid and based anywhere in South Carolina (although we already have an office in Columbia), offering flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with firm leadership and support teams. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of family law experience, along with an existing client base or book of business, and a desire to play a leadership role in expanding the firm's footprint in the state.Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a full spectrum of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and related issues
  • Serve as a practice leader for Family Law in South Carolina, helping shape strategy, workflows, and growth initiatives
  • Maintain and grow an existing book of business while developing new client relationships
  • Provide high-level legal counsel and courtroom advocacy on complex family law matters
  • Collaborate with firm leadership, marketing, intake, and operations to scale the practice effectively
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the long-term success of the department
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in South Carolina
  • 5+ years of family law experience required
  • Existing clientele or portable book of business strongly preferred
  • Proven litigation and courtroom experience
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to build and grow a practice
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-relationship skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for autonomy and long-term growth
