Job description

Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of component manufacturing and management of associates employed at the plant. This position is responsible for assessing employees' productivity and efficiency, handling employee complaints and grievances, disciplining employees, planning production, apportioning the work among the employees.  This position has the authority to hire and/or terminate associates.


Responsibilities

Understand how to perform every position in the plant efficiently and correctly

Understand all aspects of people management

Understand current production practices and learn to form new ones

Ensure the accuracy of Quality Control program

Participate in the evaluations of hourly associates

Exercise discretion and independent judgment in addressing issues related to all aspects of manufacturing at the plant and develop solutions and best practices related to the operation of the plant

Prepare paperwork and participate in inventories

Audit outgoing loads for completeness


Qualifications

Able to speak, read and write English

Able to speak, read and write Spanish, or be willing to learn

Able to stand for long periods of time

Able to lift 50 pounds

Basic math skills

Must be willing to relocate

Must have good leadership skills

Must have good interpersonal skills

Must have excellent problem solving skills

Must be able to work under pressure
