Job description


We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Truss Designer to join our team. As a Truss Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and drawings for various types of trusses used in construction projects. Your primary duties will include interpreting architectural plans and specifications, analyzing structural requirements, and using specialized software to design truss systems that meet building codes and standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret architectural plans and specifications to determine truss requirements for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and constraints.
  • Use specialized software (such as MiTek, Alpine or Simpson) to create accurate and detailed truss designs.
  • Analyze structural requirements and calculate load-bearing capacities to ensure truss designs meet safety standards and building codes.
  • Select appropriate materials and components for truss construction, considering factors such as cost, durability, and sustainability.
