Job description

Job Summary
The Brass Instructor will support teachers and students in Music.
Scope of Duties:
? Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and implement lessons.
? Assisting with instruction, assessment, and logistics (concerts, performances, showcases, etc.) as determined by the band director.
Job Responsibilities:
? Facilitate student involvement in music activities
? Rehearse small groups of students as needed
? Provide extra support for students
? Support and assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans
? Monitor, document, and report on activities as needed
? Maintaining musical instruments
Desired Skills and Experience:
? Proficient Trumpet, F Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, or Tuba player
? Professional or Industry Experience in Music (performance, teaching, etc.)
? Background and/or familiarity with ensemble music
? Basic knowledge of instrumental function/design/tuning/pedagogy
? Experience working with grade 6-12 students
? Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations, including youth and adults
? Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking skills
? Ability to work independently and be flexible
