Job description

Responsibilities
  • Own & Grow: Manage and grow sales in key accounts including Ace, True Value, Orgill, Do-It-Best, Ascent, and others.
  • Build Relationships: Be a trusted partner to buyers, merchant teams, distributor sales managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Retail Execution: Navigate line reviews, category resets, placement opportunities, and promotional calendars with precision.
  • Strategize & Sell: Develop and execute sales plans tailored to each customer. Use data and insight to drive results.
  • Show Up Strong: Represent ACG at trade shows, distributor markets, customer events, and planning meetings.
  • Lead Internally: Collaborate cross-functionally with Inside Sales, Sales Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to meet customer needs and drive revenue.
  • Adapt & Solve: Thrive in fast-paced environments, pivot quickly, and find smart solutions when roadblocks arise.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of sales experience in retail, wholesale, or distribution—preferably in hard goods or consumer products.
  • Proven success managing high-profile national and distributor accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the two-step distribution model and how to win in that space.
  • Retail acumen—know how stores and planograms work, and how to drive shelf velocity.
  • Experience with line reviews, product launches, and merchandising strategy.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Grit, agility, and a “get-it-done” mindset.
  • Ability to travel 30–50% depending on the season.
