Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE
True Blue Strategies is an award-winning public affairs and communications firm working at the intersection of advocacy, politics, media, and reputation. We're looking for an Executive Assistant & Personal Assistant to support our Founder & CEO, Brooke Blue.
This is a high-trust, high-responsibility position that blends executive support, operational coordination, travel management, and personal operations into one deeply integrated role. Brooke operates at a fast pace across a demanding professional life and an equally dynamic personal one. The right person doesn't just keep up; they stay two steps ahead.
You're the person who creates order from complexity, catches the detail everyone else misses, and quietly makes everything around you run better. You're deeply discreet, proactive to your core, and energized by the challenge of supporting someone who moves fast and expects excellence.
This is not a traditional administrative role. Priorities shift quickly, no two days look alike, and success demands judgment, adaptability, and relentless follow-through. If you bring a service mindset with executive-level professionalism and operational rigor, this is the kind of role that will use every skill you have.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Executive Support & Calendar Management
  • Own and manage Brooke's professional and personal calendar with precision and sound judgment
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, travel, and logistics across time zones and competing priorities
  • Protect focus time; proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, prep needs, and transitions between commitments
  • Prepare daily and weekly briefings so priorities, meetings, and logistics are organized and anticipated
  • Drive accountability and follow-through on action items and ongoing priorities
  • Represent Brooke in meetings when needed for visibility and report back with the details that matter
  • Coordinate regularly with agency team members on scheduling and calendaring - this role provides meaningful support to the full True Blue staff (approximately 15% of the role)

Travel & Logistics
  • Plan and manage complex travel end-to-end: flights, hotels, ground transportation, dining, itineraries, and contingencies
  • Build travel plans that are exceptionally organized and anticipate needs before they become problems
  • Handle last-minute changes with composure and efficiency
  • Maintain travel profiles, loyalty programs, upgrades, and preferences
  • Coordinate occasional travel logistics for other agency staff members, including flights, hotels, and itineraries as needed

Communications & Coordination
  • Manage inboxes, messages, and the overall flow of communications
  • Draft polished correspondence, follow-ups, scheduling notes, thank-yous, and outreach on Brooke's behalf
  • Serve as a professional, responsive point of contact with clients, partners, vendors, and personal contacts
  • Track outstanding items and ensure nothing falls through the cracks

Personal Operations & Household Management
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, deliveries, and service providers across an active home renovation and household. In this role, you will essentially be the project manager
  • Manage appointments, scheduling, sourcing, returns, errands, gifting, and personal logistics
  • Research products, services, and vendors; provide clear recommendations with rationale
  • Support occasional entertaining, events, and hospitality coordination

Special Projects & Operational Support
  • Take ownership of one-off projects with minimal oversight and strong follow-through
  • Conduct research, synthesize findings, and present organized recommendations
  • Provide light operational and administrative support to True Blue Strategies as needed
  • Identify and build systems, processes, and improvements that make life and work run more smoothly over time

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
  • 5+ years supporting a founder, executive, entrepreneur, or high-profile principal as an EA, PA, or Chief of Staff
  • Exceptional organizational ability and follow-through - things don't slip with you
  • Strong judgment and discretion with sensitive and confidential information
  • Highly proactive: you anticipate needs rather than wait for instructions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Calm, steady, and solutions-oriented under pressure
  • Comfortable in fast-moving, high-expectation environments where the pace doesn't slow down
  • At ease with a role that blends professional and personal support without hard boundaries between the two

Preferred
  • Experience in public affairs, politics, media, creative agencies, or other high-performance professional environments
  • Strong attention to detail in communications, logistics, and presentation

COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE
  • Full-time, in-person position located in Seattle, WA
  • Compensation: $85,000-$110,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Reports directly to Brooke Blue

HOW TO APPLY
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Please send a resume and a brief note about why this role is a fit to danielle@true-blue.com. We value clarity and directness. Your note doesn't need to be long, just genuine.
