Job description

Kona Ice of Savannah


We are looking for a go-getter who will be a cheerful addition to our commissary. This person needs to be a multitasker who is detail oriented, and able to build lasting relationships with internal customers.


The primary purpose of this role is to support the ongoing day-to-day operation of the commissary. This includes maintaining adequate inventory levels, cleaning trucks, stocking trucks and maintaining the machinery in the service area of our 4 food trucks.  Work will be 2-3 hours daily Wednesday-Saturday.  In order to do this job, you will need to be able to lift 25 lbs overhead and to be able to carry many 16 pound bags of ice up 1-2 stairs into the trucks.  


Operations Assistant Responsibilities:

Maintaining inventory in multiple locations at our commissary location.

Prep trucks for a day's work, clean and restock trucks, perform scheduled maintenance Kona Ice trucks and Travelin Tom's Coffee Trucks equipment

Support the GM in ensuring our ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and truck maintenance

Assist the GM in improving our operations in the related to warehouse and truck management

  • Flexible schedule-The person to fill this role must be available at varying times of the day.  This role is needed on high event days, large event days.  There is not a set schedule but generally, trucks must be ready before 0900-1000.  They return (generally) on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-5. On Fridays from 7-9 pm.

Musts:

Must be willing to put energy and attention to maintaining a clean and organized environment in each of our trucks and in our commissary

Must keep service to the internal customers (our drivers and staff) front of mind

Must be available before trucks go out and when they come back to commissary. Busiest days are Wednesdays-Saturday
