Burrowes Insurance ... our commercial department focuses on trucking insurance in over 29 states. We provide qualified new authority leads, and handle service so our agents can sell.

The Trucking Insurance Sales Agent is responsible for generating new business and maintaining relationships with commercial trucking clients by selling Property & Casualty insurance products across multiple states. This role focuses on quoting and binding trucking insurance policies while working closely with the agencys service team to ensure an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and committed to growing a profitable book of business within the agency.

As an agent partnered with our agency, we assist with:


  • training on our agency systems and carriers


  • lead lists for new ventures... truckers new in business and needing insurance to get their DOT # activated


  • lead lists for established ventures... truckers already in business and have their existing insurance policy expiring - we have the expiration dates


  • customer service support to handle all the clients needs to included endorsements, certificates and renewal quotes. We focus on service and You focus on Quoting and Selling.


  • assistance with developing Marketing LEADS strategies... so you can generate HOT sales leads.

Responsibilities

Sell commercial trucking insurance policies to new clients nationwide

Contact and follow up with provided lead lists, including:

  • New trucking businesses requiring insurance to activate DOT numbers


  • Established trucking companies with upcoming policy expirations


Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate coverage solutions


Quote and bind policies using agency systems and carrier platforms


Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients


Collaborate with the agencys service team, which will handle:


  • Endorsements


  • Certificates of insurance


  • Renewal servicing and customer support (Quote/Re-Quotes)


Participate in training sessions to stay current on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and agency procedures


Implement agency-approved marketing strategies to generate additional sales leads


Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals


Requirements

Active Property & Casualty insurance license

Experience in trucking insurance sales preferred

Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills


Ability to work independently and manage time effectively


Customer-focused mindset with professional phone presence


Comfortable working with lead lists and CRM systems


Entrepreneurial drive with a desire to grow income and book of business
