JOB SUMMARY
In partnership with the, Corporate Used Truck Manager, this position utilizes our companies Core Values to: strategically plan and organize sales opportunities and potential sales growth in the stores AOR, provide sales team and/or customer problem resolution, develop our Houston sales team to achieve high performance sales activity, manage the Houston inventory.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Set Goals, Forecast Sales and Report Results
  • Oversee reconditioning to ensure equipment is brought to market quickly in the most cost effective manner
  • Ensure that trade terms are met (if agreed to) prior to taking the truck into Bruckner possession
  • Build quality relationships with wholesalers in the UTA and Premium Used Truck Group
  • Maintain adequate inventory to support sales through trade ins and purchases
  • Review Used Truck Desk Manual Annually to ensure best practices are being followed
  • Review appraisal's and set the current wholesale value for market.
  • Run aging reports weekly to keep inventory levels at 3 months minimizing aging
  • Reports on competitive activity from other OEM and independents
  • Handle customer walk ins and phone calls, be able to discuss the inventory on the lot and coming in.
  • Use Air Table daily to review appraisals throughout the company & effectively manage Dallas' used truck inventory
  • Use bot Mack & Volvo TDP to look up truck warranty, history of repairs and truck specs
  • Be proficient in Exceed to look up truck charges, cost and RO's posted
MARGINAL JOB TASKS

Hard Skills: Possess a valid CDL or the ability to get one in 60 days, at least 2yrs experience in truck sales or applicable experience, computer/telephone skills.
Soft Skills: Verbal communication skills, Aggressive, Self Motivated, Closing ability, Organized, Strong Time Management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
  • A minimum high school diploma with appropriate experience is required. Bachelors degree is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum 2 years retail sales experience. Preferably some heavy duty of medium duty truck experience. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to company core values.
Language Skills
Good oral and written communication skills.
Mathematical Skills and Reasoning Ability
Adequate skill to prepare sales quotes, sales assistance, and analyze truck market data. This position requires that the employee plan and prioritize their work load.
Special Skills
This position requires a large amount of interaction and communication with customers and prospects to facilitate the sales process. General ability to operate a computer is required.
