Job description

The Salvation Army Mission:

Location: 5645 W 31st St. Cicero, IL 60804
Compensation: $17.05 hr.
Status: Full Time/ 40 Hours
Essential Functions:
• Unload and load trucks
• Assist with removing donated items from donor's premises
• Stack items properly to cause the least amount of damage
• Manage iPad and give direction to the driver
• Work with dock and store personnel to assist with processing items in a proper amount of time.
• Track production numbers and reports in the assigned location.
• Move priced merchandise to the floor for display and stocking or to the designated shipping location in the warehouse.
• Assist donors with donations. Complete donation receipts, collect donor information and track donors.
• Power sort donations into the correct bins.
• Receives ARC trucks and assists to load, unload, and move products to the correct departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Assist in baling operations.
• Assist in keeping the floor stocked and put new merchandise out as assigned. Work to meet the production goals for the store each day as needed.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule; full-time or part-time positions will require evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High School Degree or currently pursuing.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with customers, management, and coworkers.
Basic computer skills including but are not limited to the use of the payroll program and all other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.
- Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Supervisory Responsibility: None.
