Yard Driver Job Summary – Triple C Enterprise

The Yard Driver at Triple C Enterprise is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers, containers, and equipment throughout the facility and yard. This position plays a critical role in supporting warehouse and transportation operations by ensuring trailers are properly staged for loading and unloading while maintaining a safe, organized yard.

The Yard Driver performs pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections, communicates with warehouse and dispatch personnel to coordinate trailer movements, and maintains accurate records of trailer locations. The ideal candidate operates equipment safely, follows all company policies and safety regulations, and works effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely move and position trailers within the yard.

  • Stage trailers for loading and unloading operations.

  • Perform daily inspections of yard tractors and report maintenance issues.

  • Maintain an organized yard to improve operational efficiency.

  • Verify trailer numbers, seals, and locations for accuracy.

  • Follow all DOT regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company safety procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and drivers.
