Position Summary
The Office Manager provides programmatic and administrative support to federally-funded TRiO -programs, which targets retention/graduation/transfer of low-income, first generation and/or students with disabilities enrolled in transfer curriculum and who have potential to successfully matriculate to four-year college/university. Also provides programmatic and administrative support to the Program Directors.
This position is responsible for all the administrative and management support to the TRiO programs to ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining documents and files; serves as the expert on travel and purchasing for the office and works in collaboration to maintain and reconcile the budget. This position provides services to meet the required enrollment, retention, graduation, and transfer objectives of the TRiO grant.
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree required.
  • Five years of experience in office administration.
  • Office management experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management training preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with event planning or communications is highly desirable.

  • Overseeing general office operation.
  • Greeting visitors, answering a high-volume of incoming phone calls and delivering world-class service to our customers.
  • Coordinating appointments and meetings and managing project directors' calendars and schedules.
  • Mentoring, training, and coaching our office staff and delegating assignments to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Coordinating travel, including flight, hotel, bus, program vans, and car rental reservations.
  • Purchasing office supplies and equipment and maintaining proper stock levels.
  • Producing reports, composing correspondence, and drafting new contracts.
  • Creating presentations and other management-level reports.
