Description

Trinity Landing - Barista - Part-Time - Weekends 7AM-4PM

Potential for higher hourly pay if you opt out. Experience as a Barista is preferred.

Position Summary: As a member of the Dining Services team, you'll take food and beverage orders from residents, guests, and staff with friendliness and efficiency. All tasks should help create a fine dining experience and follow current legal guidelines along with facility objectives.

Essential Functions (reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities):

  • Welcome and seat residents, guests, and staff for meals and dietary programs.
  • Set tables for all dining room meals, parties in Assisted Living, meetings, and special events as needed.
  • Keep all dining and event areas—including tables, chairs, carpets, floors, kitchen service areas, and lighting fixtures—clean and up to standard.
  • Inform residents, guests, and staff about menu items clearly and courteously.
  • Take orders, serve drinks, and deliver items accurately to residents, guests, and staff.
  • Ensure final servings meet quality standards and resolve any issues.
  • Clear plates promptly when diners have finished.
  • Prepare and deliver meals to Assisted Living, resident apartments, and handle to-go orders as necessary.
  • Collect meal tickets, fill them out with all required details for each resident, and give them to the Cook.
  • Help other wait staff with dishwashing and thorough cleaning tasks.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Experience as a Barista Preferred

Education: Must be able to read and write well enough to complete assigned tasks.

Experience: Prior work in food service is helpful. Patience, friendliness, and problem-solving skills are important.

Specific Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong customer focus, and planning abilities are required.

Specialized knowledge or licenses: Not applicable.

Preferences (optional):

  • Prior experience as a Food Server in a fine dining setting or at a resort is desirable.
  • Willingness to earn Heimlich maneuver certification within three months of starting work.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements (reasonable accommodations available):

  • Ability to lift, carry, deliver, and serve trays weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to use tray stands and have manual dexterity for distributing orders.
  • Capable of standing and walking throughout the day.
