Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble mattresses according to production specifications and established work instructions.
  • Lift, carry, position, and place mattress components and raw materials onto conveyors, carts, or workstations.
  • Operate a variety of pneumatic and hand tools, including C-ring/hog-ring guns, staple guns, and hot glue guns.
  • Assemble mattress components, including coil units, foam encasements, upholstery layers, covers, and other materials required for final production.
  • Prepare, organize, and stage materials to support continuous production and replenish raw materials at the point of use.
  • Inspect components and completed mattresses to ensure they meet company quality standards and identify any defects or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain production pace while following established quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and manufacturing guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic English reading and writing skills required.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred.
  • Experience using pneumatic tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for up to 8 hours per shift or longer when overtime is required.
  • Ability to regularly lift, move, push, or pull mattress components and raw materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 120 pounds with team assistance for heavier items.
  • Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
