POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Car Wash Associates are critical to delivering the friendly, safe, and professional service that distinguishes Tahoma Express and drives our sales results.ย Our Associates work as part of a team to provide the perfect guest experience to every one of our customers, both in our Car Wash and in our retail store.ย This includes making sure we have a sparkling clean Car Wash and store, and that we operate efficiently to help our guests get in and out quickly!ย ย ย Starting pay rate is $17.65 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and availability to work a wide variety of days/shifts
  • Cheerfully greet Guests, suggest and help them select products, and provide assistance throughout their visit to ensure the perfect Guest experience
  • Assist all Guests at kiosks when needed; enroll and maintain monthly membership data
  • Load and guide all vehicles through the car wash safely and efficiently; strictly enforce all vehicle restrictions for entering car wash and utilizing vacuums
  • Clean interior and exterior of car wash area, retail stores, bathrooms, and all parking lot areas
  • Work with a sense of urgency to get tasks done safely, quickly, and with good quality; promptly report any issues or incidents of concern
  • Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout PTE
  • Use all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results for PTE; maintain PTE equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships and with all employees, customers, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
  • Strictly follow workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near missesย 
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard PTE assets at all times


REQUIREMENTS:

Minimumย ย ย ย ย ย 

  • At least 18 years or older
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve, effectively multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with full diversity of public service
  • Team minded; always willing to help others and works with a cooperative spirit to get all store tasks doneย 
  • Strong self starter and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Handles stressful situations calmly and stays on task despite disruption or distraction
  • Ability to obtain a valid Food Handler's Card within one week of employment
  • Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
  • Uncompromising integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to regularly work wide variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays; schedule availability range that includes minimum of ten shift times per week, inclusive of four on weekends
