EEG Technologist - DC, MD, VA

This role is with a full-service provider of neurological services specializing in diagnosing and monitoring patients with epilepsy. The company has been operating since 2007, servicing hospitals and private practice members within the DC, MD and VA tri-state area. They pride themselves on delivering an unparalleled service through their experienced technicians who are compassionate towards every patient’s needs.

What You Will Do
  • Perform routine, extended and ambulatory EEGs, Video EEGs and studies
  • Explain testing procedure for all neurodiagnostic studies to patient and family using age-appropriate guidelines.
  • Accurately record pertinent history from the patient.
  • Set-up patient for appropriate study to include patient, paperwork, room, and equipment.
  • Accurately apply electrodes according to the International 10-20 measurement system to record EEG.
  • Run studies with appropriate documentation in the study, observation of the patient, and troubleshooting skills
  • Distinguish normal from abnormal studies
  • Demonstrate proper cleaning procedures for the patient, room, setup room and equipment after each study
  • Adhere to proper infection control practices
The Requirements
  • Travel to different locations within tri-state area
  • 2 years of EEG experience
  • Graduate from an accredited END program or Associate degree in a health-related field (preferred)
  • Board Certified (ABRET certification preferred)
  • Must be COVID immunized and boosted
