Join the Tri-State Overhead Crane Team and Build For the Future!

Tri-State Overhead Crane is a family-owned and operated company that has been designing, building, installing, and servicing custom overhead cranes across the country for over 60 years. We're a growing company with a strong focus on the central US, and we're looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team.

As a Lead Installation Technician, you'll be part of a team that brings our customers' visions and Tri-State's designs to life. You'll travel to customer sites across the country, working hand-in-hand with your colleagues to install support columns, runways, crane bridges, hoists, and controls. You'll be responsible for laying out steel, ensuring all parts are present, and using your skills to connect, bolt, and weld steel components to create the finished product. The lead will be the primary point of contact for the client, direct team workflow onsite, and be the install liaison to Tri-State sales and coordinators.

This is a hands-on job that requires a variety of skills, but don't worry if you don't have experience with cranes! We're looking for someone with a strong steel installation background, experience heading up a team on installs, a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for building things. If you're a team player who enjoys working with your hands and solving problems, we encourage you to apply.

Here are some key responsibilities you'll do in the job:

  • Read plans to lay out column locations and confirm crane build area is free of obstructions.
  • Raise, fit and secure columns, rails, bridges, and set trolleys according to specifications.
  • Install overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists and drives.
  • Complete and test final electrical connections - troubleshoot any issues.
  • Be the primary point of contact for the client and direct team workflow onsite.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 3-5 years of experience of steel installation
  • Minimum 1 year of leading a team on install work
  • Mechanical and electrical skills
  • The ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • The ability to travel to client sites
  • The ability to work well in a team environment

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with overhead cranes and hoists
  • Welding aptitude (a strong benefit)

We offer a competitive salary range of $36-$42 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and more.

If you're ready to join a growing company that values its employees and makes a real impact, we encourage you to apply today!

Apply now and build the future of material handling with Tri-State Overhead Crane!

We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
