Description
Under the direction of the Billing Director Tri-County is responsible for screening all billing and posting activities of United Medical Centers. Responsible for all cashiering functions as per approved guidelines and protocols. Responsible for the screening and assessing all patients in order to determine their financial eligibility for clinic services. Responsible for utilizing the Primary Health Care (PHC) Screening Tool and Automated Medicaid system to document all applications electronically and refer patients to the appropriate programs in the Community. Responsible for providing information regarding United Medical Centers services to patients and general public. Responsible for compliance with other requirements affecting the Medical Centers such State/Federal regulations PCMH, DSHS standards, HRSA and Compliance Standards. Requirements
Education:
1. Must have high school graduate or equivalent with some business courses preferred.
Experience/Training:
1. At least one-year experience in billing principles, preferably in a health care environment.
2. Prior experience in collection procedures, preferred.
3. Cashiering experience, required.
4. Knowledgeable in medical terminology preferred.
5. Ability to type 40 wpm preferred.
6. Computer experience required.
7. EHR experience preferred.
