About Us

Reggio’s Treehouse is an authentic, Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool dedicated to educating and enriching the minds and lives of our young learners. Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented HR Partner to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive partnership to the Human Resources department and play an essential part in fostering a positive, supportive workplace culture. The ideal candidate pairs a strong foundation in HR operations with a genuine passion for employee engagement, compliance, and thoughtful conflict resolution.


Location and Travel Requirements

This position is fully on-site and is not eligible for remote work. The ideal candidate must be available for daily travel to our Washington, D.C. schools, with occasional travel to our Northern Virginia locations.


Key Responsibilities


Driving HR Operations & Compliance

  • Partner in day-to-day HR operations, maintaining accurate employee records and supporting daily administrative needs.
  • Execute seamless new hire documentation and facilitate engaging onboarding processes.
  • Manage and track employee attendance, leave requests, and benefits enrollment.
  • Support payroll processing by gathering, verifying, and auditing employee information.
  • Travel to all center locations on a regular basis to provide on-site HR support and maintain organizational visibility.
  • Ensure strict compliance with labor laws and company policies by maintaining up-to-date documentation.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics reports, focusing on turnover, employee relations, and engagement levels.
  • Participate in compliance audits and assist in implementing corrective actions as needed.


Employee Relations & Culture

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct thorough, confidential investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and effectively mediate disputes between employees or between staff and management.
  • Develop and implement proactive initiatives to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Collaborate on the design and delivery of internal training programs related to workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and organizational policies.


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in HR operations and/or employee relations.
  • Solid knowledge of labor laws, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to handle sensitive issues with utmost confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A degree or background in Early Childhood Education is a significant plus.
  • Professional HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Demonstrated experience leading employee engagement initiatives or formal conflict resolution programs.
