Job description

Our teams in the field are the heart of Peak Tree Specialists, and our success is attributed to the talent they bring to work every day. As one of the fastest growing tree care providers in the South Seattle and Tacoma markets, weโ€™re looking for dedicated tree professionals that are ready to take their careers to the next level. If you have at least one year of climbing experience, we want to talk to you!

As a Climbing Arborist at Peak, you will apply your knowledge in tree pruning, removals and technical rigging when required. Maintaining a safe work environment and high level of professionalism is always an expectation for all our employees. But most of all, we want you to enjoy what you do as you build your career with us!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE during tree care operations
  • Perform tree pruning according to industry best practices and without the use of climbing spurs
  • Use of industry standard climbing and rigging techniques
  • Tree removals large and small
  • Practical knowledge and use of chainsaws, stump grinders, chippers and aerial lifts
  • Perform a daily safety inspection of climbing gear, vehicles, tools and equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and communicate effectively with fellow crew members


Requirements
  • Passionate about tree work and the outdoors
  • A minimum of 1 year climbing experience
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with others on the team
  • Ability and willingness to perform work in all weather conditions
  • High attention to detail to help uphold Peak's high standard of quality
  • Valid driverโ€™s license is preferred
  • Possess a โ€˜safety firstโ€™ mindset
