Job description

Position Summary
A Foreperson coordinates operations and oversees tree crew personnel. This position provides management and leadership to a tree crew while performing assigned jobs. The Foreperson communicates with the General Foreperson daily regarding all aspects of the job.
Duties and Responsibilities Include
Essential Duties:
  • Receives and interprets orders for tree trimming and spraying from the General Foreperson
  • Plans and lays out daily work for the crew
  • Assigns work for individual crew members and directs crews in performing work
  • Enforces safe work practices, as experience, judgment, company policy, and OSHA specifies
  • Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to the performance of the crew operations
  • Inspects and/or provides repairs to tools, trucks, and other equipment
  • Conducts field training/retraining and instructs crews on new or revised job units
  • Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Leadership skills
  • Operate and service all required tools and equipment
  • Experience with a tree care/maintenance program, including but not limited to
    Operation of stump grinders, chippers, chipper trucks, bucket trucks, and other tree-related equipment
  • May be required to pass a DOT physical examination to obtain the appropriate CDL
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements
  • Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities

  • Meet all physical requirements of the position
  • Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations

  • High School Diploma, GED, or HSE
  • Conversational knowledge of the Spanish language
