Job description

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer (COO)
General Job Objectives: Responsible for ensuring that our customers’ expectation for their lawncare, tree and shrub healthcare, and pest control are being met or exceeded.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Recruiting, training, and developing a team of 5-10 MDA licensed Lawn Technicians to treat residential and commercial lawns, shrubs, and trees
  • Overseeing Lawn Technicians routes and the Service Manager position
  • Communicating department needs and issues with Chief Operations Officer and Corporate
  • Encouraging a positive work culture and attitude
  • Meeting daily with production staff to discuss production plans and issues
  • Providing accurate and complete production records weekly and monthly
  • Performing employee evaluations
  • Coordinating with Service Manager to address equipment issues that occur within production
  • Scheduling work on the machines as needed when personnel are absent to ensure production schedule is maintained
  • Enforcing company policy on attendance, company rules, safety rules, job descriptions,and MDA requirements as well as safety and security policies
  • Supervising the product usage to ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and to remain in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal standards on pesticide safety
  • Ensuring resources and supplies for production are ordered when needed
  • Troubleshooting and resolving employee and customer issues in a timely and effective manner to minimize turnover and cancels
  • Providing customer service, answering phones, and understanding the needs of the customer
  • Desired Experience:
  • 1-2 years of lawncare experience
  • Previous experience with managing a team
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills
  • Vendor management required
