Job description

Beyond the Leaf is looking for a Tree Climber to perform tree care services, including pruning, removals, and health assessments, while ensuring safety and efficiency. This role is ideal for experienced climbers passionate about arboriculture and safety.  

This is a job for someone who has good use of both their mind and their body.  You will be required to quickly make decisions under pressure while always keeping safety at the forefront.  Successful climbers can go on to become crew leaders.

Requirements ad Duties:

  • Background check required
  • Must be coachable
  • Reliable transportation
  • Perform tree climbing for pruning, removals, and other services.
  • Safely operate and maintain climbing gear, chainsaws, and rigging equipment.
  • Assess tree health and stability, identifying potential hazards.
  • Follow proper pruning techniques to improve tree health and aesthetics.
  • Remove hazardous branches and trees while minimizing risks.
  • Work with the ground crew to ensure safe debris removal.
  • Maintain job site safety and cleanliness per company policies.
  • Communicate with clients, providing expert tree care advice
