Coordinate, prepare (with internal and external input), and submit Oil Sands Royalty project applications to the Alberta Department of Energy.
Assist the Audit Coordinator in responding to audit requests and supporting royalty-related queries.
Collaborate with Capital and Operating Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely royalty payable and expense reporting.
Research and interpret royalty legislation, regulations, policy updates, and industry developments, translating complex technical requirements into practical business insights and recommendations.
Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Treasury, Regulatory and external industry groups.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls, reporting, and data analysis capabilities.

Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate and interpret complex financial and regulatory information.
Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a desire to develop deep subject matter expertise in oil sands royalty accounting and regulatory compliance.
Comfortable presenting complex information and explaining analyses, impacts, and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and influence outcomes through strong partnerships.
