Job Summary
The Partnership Risk Analyst plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of the bank's risk and compliance management for external vendors and partners. Reporting to the Partnership Risk Management & Treasury Management Manager, this role is responsible for developing and executing ongoing control monitoring across bank partnerships involving digital assets, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), payments, and other third-party relationships. Responsibilities include ensuring operational consistency with contractual agreements, regulatory expectations, and internal risk management standards.
Job Duties
  • Oversight & Risk Monitoring
    • Support the design and execution of risk based post-implementation oversight strategies for banking partners post throughout the partner lifecycle.
    • Create, document, maintain and enhance control monitoring frameworks tailored to each partnership based on contractual obligations.
    • Identify operational and compliance gaps and escalate concerns based on risk thresholds and frequency.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Treasury, Specialty Banking) to ensure cross-functional adherence to oversight protocols.
    • Apply fintech partnership oversight standards and regulatory expectations across the full lifecycle, ensuring due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and documentation practices align with evolving compliance and risk management requirements.
  • Daily Tasks
    • Review daily partner data submissions and reporting metrics.
    • Validate activity against agreed contractual KPIs and operational standards.
    • Track and document exceptions, escalations, control gaps, policy violations and real-time compliance indicators.
    • Maintain a daily checklist and oversight tracking tools to ensure proper execution of oversight items.
  • Weekly Tasks
    • Conduct data validation reviews and internal reconciliations.
    • Prepare weekly performance reports highlighting trends, gaps, or concerns.
    • Attend and document weekly meetings with internal stakeholders or external partners as needed.
    • Monitor action items and ensure follow-through on pending issues or escalated items.
    • Review risk indicators and monitoring results to identify and recommend corrective actions of process improvement.
  • Monthly Tasks
    • Conduct comprehensive monthly audits or reviews of partner performance.
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly oversight summaries, risk assessments, management reporting and reporting packages for leadership.
    • Recommend improvements to oversight procedures and controls based on partner performance data and monitoring results.
    • Partner with other departments to ensure cross-impacting controls are implemented and executed consistently.
    • Support audit-readiness by preparing documentation and compliance evidence.
    • Participate in periodic reviews by gathering documentation, evaluating partner performance, assessing risks, and documenting findings and recommendations
  • Control Design & Management
    • Define and implement tailored control environments per partner based on contractual requirements and product/service complexity.
    • Distinguish between standard and custom controls based on risk exposure and service model.
    • Collaborate with the PRM Department Manager to ensure controls align with broader governance strategies.
    • Ensure oversight design accommodates partner-specific nuances while maintaining regulatory soundness.
    • Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
    • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • 2-5 years of experience in banking operations, compliance support, internal audit assistance, QA or vendor documentation tracking.
    • Experience in Fintech partnership relationship management is preferred.
    • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Skills
    • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive work to completion with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain positive third-party partner relationships by leading meetings, facilitating discussions, managing follow-up activities, and communicating effectively through phone, email, and virtual interactions.
    • Capable of leading discussions and presenting key information, including performance metrics, remediation plans, risk findings, control monitoring results, and periodic review outcomes, while driving alignment, accountability, and issue resolution.
    • Proven ability to develop, track, analyze, and report on control metrics and compliance monitoring activities.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presntation communication skills.
    • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple oversight plans, reviews, remediation activities and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Experience working with proprietary systems, workflow tools, and risk management platforms.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments in highly regulated environments.
    • Working knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, third-party and FinTech partner risk management practices, compliance monitoring, and financial crime detection.
