Job description

Strategic Payments Advisor | Business Banking & Merchant Services

Lansing, MI Region (must reside within 100 Miles of this area) Region | Field-Based | Home Office

Are you a commercial banker, business banking professional, treasury management specialist, relationship manager, or experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys building relationships and helping businesses succeed?

Evolv is looking for a Strategic Payments Advisor to serve businesses throughout the Lansing, MI region.

This Is Not Your Typical Merchant Services Sales Role

At Evolv, you'll work with established community banks and financial institution partners who introduce you to business owners they already know and trust.

Instead of relying exclusively on cold calling, you'll spend your time meeting with qualified business owners, understanding their needs, and recommending customized payment and business solutions.

You'll build long-term relationships while growing a portfolio that generates recurring residual income.

What You'll Do

  • Meet with business owners referred through Evolv's financial institution partners.
  • Understand business needs and recommend payment, technology, and commerce solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Manage referral opportunities and your sales pipeline.
  • Develop additional referral opportunities within assigned banking partners.
  • Partner with Evolv's onboarding and customer success teams to ensure a great client experience.
  • Build a recurring portfolio that generates long-term residual income.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate must have experience in at lease one of the following:

  • Commercial or Business Banking
  • Treasury Management
  • Merchant Services or Payment Processing
  • Financial Services
  • B2B Consultative Sales
  • Fintech or SaaS Sales
  • Relationship Management
  • Commercial Lending or Business Development

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years of consultative sales or relationship management experience preferred.
  • Experience working with business owners or commercial clients.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial.
  • High integrity and professionalism.

Merchant services experience is helpful, but not required. We can teach products—we cannot teach relationship-building.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary.
  • Uncapped commissions.
  • Monthly recurring residual income.
  • Performance bonuses.
  • Sales contests and incentive trips.
  • Expense allowance.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • HSA.
  • Company-matching 401(k).
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and PTO.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.

Estimated On-Target Earnings: $85,000-$125,000+ in Year One

Your long-term earning potential continues to grow as your recurring client portfolio expands.

Why Evolv?

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Evolv provides the tools, training, and support to help our advisors succeed. You'll have trusted introductions through established banking relationships and dedicated implementation, customer service, and operations teams supporting your clients.

If you're ready to build relationships, solve business problems, and create long-term earning potential, apply today.
